de stuurbekrachtiging
STEUR-buh-krakh-tuh-ghingIPA ˈstyːrbəˌkrɑxtəɣɪŋ
Translation
power steering
The assisting force that makes turning the wheel light, hydraulic or electric. When the steering is inspected, play is judged with the power steering switched off (art. 5.2.29); leakage from power steering parts falls under art. 5.2.11a. If assistance fails on the road the car stays steerable, but the wheel becomes heavy — especially at low speed and when parking.
