de lekkage

le-KAH-zhuhIPA lɛˈkaːʒə

mv. lekkages

Translation

leakage, leak

The unwanted escape of liquid or gas from a system. The Regeling voertuigen uses two measures. For fuel the measure is zero: fuel systems may show no leakage, and the check is carried out on all fuel systems where possible (art. 5.2.9). For other systems, among them the suspension and the power steering, they may show no excessive leakage of fluid, water excepted (art. 5.2.11a). Water dripping from the air conditioning is therefore normal, an oil patch under the car is not.

How it sounds in the exam

Onder de auto ligt een verse olievlek. Wat betekent dat voor de keuring?
