Translation
brake line, brake pipe
The rigid pipe carrying brake fluid under pressure from the master cylinder to the wheels. It runs along under the car and therefore rusts first: where there is corrosion on the brake line or disc, the special assessment of art. 5.2.31 applies. Plastic brake lines may also show no kinks. A leaking line means a pedal that sinks away and brakes that no longer hold.
