Translation
service brake
The brake with which the driver slows down and stops while driving — the brake pedal in a car. Cars first used after 31 December 2011 must have a service brake reaching at least 5.8 m/s² on a dry, roughly level road at a pedal force of no more than 500 N; for cars from before 2012 the requirement is 5.2 m/s² (art. 5.2.38). The service brake must act on all wheels, and the car may not pull to one side through a difference in braking between the wheels of an axle.
