Translation
speed sign
A sign from chapter A of annex 1, which is called Speed. Sign A1 sets a speed limit and sign A2 lifts it again; sign A3 does the same on an electronic signalling gantry; signs A4 and A5 give the start and end of an advisory speed, and that advice is not an order. A speed sign can lower the speed, but never raise it above the special maximum for your vehicle: where the sign shows a higher speed than that own maximum, the lowest applies (art. 63b lid 1). Where a sign and a signalling gantry show different values, the lowest applies as well (art. 63b lid 2).
