maximum speed
The highest speed permitted on a road. Without a sign the statutory values apply: inside built-up areas 50 km/h for motor vehicles (art. 20), outside them 80 km/h on ordinary roads, 100 km/h on autowegen and 130 km/h on motorways (art. 21). Your vehicle also has its own special maximum (art. 22). If a sign shows more than those values, the lowest one applies (art. 63b).
