het ruiterpad
ROY-ter-patIPA [ˈrœytərpɑt]
mv. ruiterpaden
Translation
bridleway
A path meant only for riders on horseback, indicated by sign G9 and ended by sign G10. Art. 8 lid 1 obliges riders to use the bridleway; where there is none they use the verge or the carriageway (art. 8 lid 2). For a car driver that means two things: a horse can appear alongside a bridleway, and where the path stops the rider joins the carriageway. Sign C9 conversely shuts riders out of a road.
