double bend
Two opposite bends close behind one another. Sign J4 warns of a double bend going right first, sign J5 of one going left first; so the first curve on the sign shows the direction of the first bend. In practice it means there is no straight bit in between to correct on: speed comes off before the first bend, not between them. Where a single bend is meant, signs J2 and J3 are used.
