H01
Built-up area
What it means
From this sign the built-up area begins. The default speed for motor vehicles becomes 50 km/h and other rules change too, such as those on stopping and parking.
What it requires of you
The boundary is legal, not visual. It lies at the sign and nowhere else: even if there is no house left a hundred metres further on, you are still inside the built-up area until sign H2.
Where it stands
At the boundary of the built-up area, on both sides of the road.
How far it applies
Applies until sign H2.
Who it applies to
bestuurdermotorvoertuig
Do not confuse it with
- H02
The same blue sign; H2 is struck through with a red stripe and ends the area.
