Give way to drivers on the intersecting road

What it means

You must let drivers on the intersecting road go first. You need not stop if the road is clear — you may continue as long as you hinder no one.

What it requires of you

Giving way means the other may continue unhindered. If he has to brake or swerve because of you, you have not given way — even if you did not stop yourself.

Where it stands

On the side road, before the junction. Shark's teeth are usually present too; they do the same job and apply even without the sign.

Cyclists and moped riders are drivers too and must therefore give way.
