Translation
wheel rim
The metal ring on which the tyre is mounted; with the disc it forms the wheel. The wheels or rims of cars may show no fractures, cracks, unsound welding, serious corrosion or serious deformation, and they must be secured with all the fasteners intended for them (art. 5.2.24). A welded rim is therefore not a repair but a fail point, even if it holds air.
