The escort who runs ahead of or behind an abnormal or special transport and directs the rest of the traffic. Art. 82a RVV 1990 requires road users to follow the instructions given by the illuminated panels on cars, vans and motorcycles of the services named in art. 41a and on vans of transport escorts. The escort’s panel therefore carries the same force as an instruction, and it overrides the signs.
