A marking intended to give a vehicle greater visibility by reflecting light from a source not belonging to the vehicle, the observer being near that source (art. 1.1 Regeling voertuigen). These are the yellow and red strips on lorries and semi-trailers. Without headlamps on them they are invisible: with your lights off the strip does not help you.
