dipped beam / low beam
The light that illuminates the road ahead without dazzling other road users. Drivers of a motor vehicle, moped or light moped use dipped beam at night and by day when visibility is seriously impaired (art. 32(1)). Main beam is allowed instead, but not by day, not when meeting oncoming traffic and not close behind another vehicle (art. 32(2)).
