mv. nul-emissiezones

Translation

zero-emission zone

An area closed to passenger cars, light goods vehicles, lorries or buses on account of emission requirements. Annex 1 governs the low-emission zone and the zero-emission zone with the same signs: sign C22e closes the zone and sign C22f marks the end of the closure. The difference lies not in the sign but in the requirement behind it: a low-emission zone admits clean vehicles, a zero-emission zone only vehicles emitting nothing on the spot. Which vehicle category and which emission class apply is stated on the sign or on the plate, and without that text the sign says nothing concrete.
