mv. nooduitgangen
Translation
emergency exit
An exit through which road users can leave a tunnel on foot. Sign L19 gives the nearest exit or the two nearest exits, with the direction and the distance. The two distances are there because smoke drifts one way: you then pick the exit against the smoke, even if it is further off. Anyone leaving the tunnel on foot leaves the car with the key in it and the doors open, so the emergency services can move it.
