emergency telephone

A fixed telephone beside the road or inside a tunnel that connects you straight to the road authority. Sign L16 points to an emergency telephone, sign L18 to an emergency telephone together with a fire extinguisher, and sign L15 to a refuge bay provided with both. Its advantage over a mobile is that the control room sees at once where you are and in which direction. When broken down on the hard shoulder do not stay in the car: art. 43 lid 3 allows the use of hard shoulder, refuge bay and verge only in emergencies.
