Living zone

What it means

From this sign the living-zone regime applies: no faster than 15 km/h, pedestrians may use the full width of the road, and parking is allowed only in marked places.

What it requires of you

Art. 45 names a figure here: within a living zone you may not drive faster than 15 km/h. Children may play on the carriageway here.

  A built-up area (H1) is a far larger zone at 50 km/h; a living zone is a small area at 15 km/h.
