mv. verkeersdrempels
Translation
speed hump
A raised section of road surface that enforces low speed, announced by sign J38. Brake before it, not on it: braking on the hump loads the front wheels and unsettles the car. Humps are found mostly inside built-up areas, in a living zone and near schools — places where pedestrians and cyclists are close to the carriageway.
