The direction you must follow. Chapter D of annex 1 is called Direction of travel: sign D1 gives the compulsory direction on a roundabout, signs D4 and D5 give one prescribed direction, and signs D6 and D7 leave a choice of several. Art. 62 obliges road users to obey road signs that contain an order or a ban. On the carriageway itself the pre-sorting lane works the same way: whoever sits in it must at the junction follow the direction the lane indicates (art. 78 lid 1).
