Translation

semi-trailer tractor unit

A motor vehicle mainly designed and built for towing semi-trailers; in any event a vehicle with body type BC counts as one (art. 1.1 Regeling voertuigen). Together with the semi-trailer it forms a combination. Running solo it remains a heavy commercial vehicle: it has large blind spots and a long braking distance, even with nothing behind it.
