The RDW register holding the registration data of every vehicle: masses, design speed, noise level, APK date, ownership and suspension. The Regeling voertuigen makes the register normative — requirements read again and again “as stated in the vehicle register or on the registration certificate” (for instance art. 5.1.3 and art. 5.2.47). What it says therefore binds the police and the inspector, even if the type plate says something else.
