Narcotic or stimulant substances. Driving under the influence of a substance you know or ought to know reduces driving ability falls under the same prohibition as medicines: art. 8(1). The police may take a saliva test at the roadside, and a positive result is followed by a blood test. A combination with alcohol weighs heavier than either substance alone, and time is the only thing that helps: sleep, coffee or a shower do not speed up the breakdown.
