Bridle path

What it means

A road intended solely for riders. Drivers of vehicles do not belong there, and neither do pedestrians.

What it requires of you

In the RVV the rider is a category of his own, alongside the driver and the pedestrian. For instance he must carry a lantern showing white or yellow to the front and red to the rear by night and by day when visibility is seriously impaired.

Where it stands

At the start of the bridle path, often along woodland tracks and country roads.

How far it applies

Applies until sign G10.
