mv. doorgaande rijbanen

Translation

through carriageway

The carriageway without the acceleration and deceleration lanes (art. 1). Anyone entering the through carriageway from an acceleration lane, or leaving it for a deceleration lane, performs a special manoeuvre and must let the other traffic go first (art. 54); signalling is compulsory (art. 55). The through carriageway keeps its rights — merging is not an equal right.
